Slovak Swimmer Collapses On The Poolside After Finishing Heat 3 Of The 2024 Olympics

JAKARTA - Slovakia's swimmer, Tamara Potocka, experienced a terrible incident after finishing the match at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Tamara collapsed by the pool at the La Defense Arena Nanterre, Paris, on Friday, August 2, 2024.

Tamara Potocka, who is 21 years old, is known to have collapsed by the pool after completing the preliminary round at Heat 3 in the women's swimming sport 200 meters in the mixed style of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In that match, Tamara failed to qualify for the semifinals. However, he has completed his struggle despite finishing seventh in Heat 3.

Tamara recorded a time of 2 minutes 14.20 seconds or 4.30 seconds behind Canadian athlete Summer McIntosh, who finished first in Heat 3.

Although he did not qualify, Tamara Potocka completed her job well. However, when she arrived at the finish line, Tamara was not seen climbing from the pool, but was found to have fainted by the pool.

This situation made the medical team move quickly to get Tamara out of the pool. When removed, Potocka's legs looked limp and medics immediately rushed to put an oxygen mask on Potocka, which was lying motionless.

With the help of six medical officers, Tamara Potocka was immediately taken on a stretcher out of the arena for further handling.

The 2024 Olympics became Potocka's first Olympics in a career after previously competing in the 2018 World Swimming Championships.

Azzahra actually finished first in Heat 1. However, from the overall record, he still hasn't been able to get him through to the semifinals.
