Yasonna Laoly: The 2024 Protecting Shooting Championship, Ajang Mengadhitkan Skills And Enthusiasm Of Savings

JAKARTA The Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) held a Shooting Championship for the 2024 Cup at Senayan Shooting Field on Sunday morning, July 28, 2024. This event was held to welcome the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia and the 79th Guardian Day.

In his remarks, the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, emphasized that this championship is not just a ceremonial activity, but is also an important moment to remember the struggles of the heroes. This victory is a means to remember the spirit of protection in providing the best service to the community. The Ministry of Law and Human Rights is one of the first ministries in Indonesia, and through the spirit of remembering the struggle of the heroes, we organized this event," said Yasonna.

This championship is also important to train shooting skills needed by Ministry of Law and Human Rights officers, in particular those who work in correctional institutions such as Nusakambangan. Shooting skills are important for officers, not only from the internal Kemenkumham but also from other institutional executive classes. This event can also strengthen cooperation between agencies," continued Yasonna Laoly.The 2024 Guardian Shooting Championship was attended by 158 participants who were divided into three categories: internal executives, external executives (including foreign participants), and regular categories followed by employees of the Directorate General of Pas and the Directorate General of Immigration. Chief Executive Anom Wibawa, who is also Director of Investigation and Completion of the DJKI Ministry of Law and Human Rights, stated that this event aims to motivate human resources to improve their skills.

In addition to the shooting championship, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights also organizes various other activities such as chess and tennis tournaments, as well as social services that will last until the peak of the celebration on August 19, 2024. Anom added that the winners of this competition will represent the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in a similar championship held by other agencies. Currently, we have about 20 shooting athletes being fostered in a sustainable manner," he added.
