Manchester United Sells Players, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho Have The Opportunity To Go To PSG

JAKARTA - Manchester United will immediately wash the players' warehouse. No less than seven players were sold in order to obtain funds to be used to buy players. However, MU is threatened with losing captain Bruno Fernandes and winger Jadon Sancho who have been targeted by Paris Saint-Germain.

MU carried out a squad revolution after experiencing failure last season. Even though they won the FA Cup, MU was only ranked eighth in the English Premier League.

This is MU's lowest position since the highest caste competition changed to the Premier League. This failure almost caused manager Eri ten Hag to be fired.

However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, MU's minority shareholder, ultimately retained Ten Hag. Especially after watching MU's excellent performance when they beat Manchester City 2-1 in the FA Cup final. Initially, Ratcliffe planned to dismiss the former Ajax Amsterdam coach. However, success in the FA Cup is Ratcliffe's own consideration.

Ten Hag is also moving to make improvements so that MU is more competent in facing the 2024/2025 season. The purchases of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro are part of the plan to overhaul the Red Devils squad. Next, MU is targeting Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Ten Hag, according to CNN quoted by The Sun, will not stop hunting for players whose age is under 25 years. He hopes to bring in a defensive midfielder, center back and right back. For the last two positions, Ten Hag wants to attract the Bayern duo, De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

Not only bringing in players, Ten Hag is also ready to release some players. No less than Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Christian Eriksen will be sold. Moreover, they are entering the final year of their contract. MU chose to sell rather than renew their contract.

Furthermore, MU will sell Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Jadon Sancho and Antony if the offer price meets the club's wishes.

Even though they are forced to sell players and will suffer losses, MU has the opportunity to receive income of up to 324.5 million pounds sterling. This income is more than enough to bring in a number of players.

MU itself has received income of 30 million pounds sterling from the sale of Mason Greenwood. French Ligue 1 club Marseille has bought Greenwood, who was previously on loan at Getafe.

Maguire did show quite a good performance when MU lost central defender Lisandro Martinez to injury. However, Yoro's presence and if De Ligt joins, Maguire will sit on the bench again. Most recently, Chelsea are interested in bringing in the England national team defender who will miss Euro 2024 due to injury.

Meanwhile, McTominay has been targeted by Fulham. Even though his performance did not disappoint and he scored several goals in crucial matches, this Scottish defensive midfielder will still be sold to Ten Hag. However, MU rejected the offer submitted by Fulham.

Likewise with Wan-Bissaka, who has been offered by West Ham United. This London club has proposed a price of 15 million pounds sterling and MU is still considering it.

Sancho has actually made peace with Ten Hag. After returning from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho met the manager. He returned to the team and was taken by Ten Hag to the United States to take part in a pre-season tour.

However, Ten Hag will still let Sancho go if he gets the best offer. PSG has reportedly made an approach to bring in Sancho. Even PSG has reached a personal agreement with this 23-year-old player. The club just needs to negotiate the purchase of Sancho with MU.

Ten Hag is likely to take advantage of Sancho's transfer to get PSG defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte. This Uruguayan national team player has entered MU's radar. Moreover, he is still 23 so he meets the requirements set by Ratcliffe.

The problem is, PSG is apparently not only targeting Sancho but also Fernandes. PSG coach Luis Enrique is indeed interested in bringing the Portuguese national team midfielder to Paris.

Fernandes previously stated that he was considering his future at MU. This immediately gave rise to rumors of him wanting to move. Fernandes reportedly wants to follow in the footsteps of his senior, Cristiano Ronaldo, by joining Al Nassr. However, this 29-year-old midfielder has also been approached by PSG.

Finally, PSG and MU are negotiating regarding the transfer of Fernandes. MU is ready to let go of its captain but could get Xavi Simons.

This 21-year-old attacking midfielder appeared impressive when he was loaned to RB Leipzig last season. Simons also played brilliantly while playing for the Netherlands at Euro 2024

However, MU has to compete with Bayern who are also targeting Simons. Even Bayern looks quite aggressive in trying to bring him to the German Bundesliga. However, MU did not give up and had the opportunity to get Simons if they did not mind letting Fernandes go.
