Southgate Recruits Agent From Close Friend Ratcliffe, Attempts To Anchor To Manchester United?

Gareth Southgate appointed a new agent who is a close friend of the owner of Manchester United (Instagram/@england).

JAKARTA - Gareth Southgate recruited a new agent after resigning from the seat of England manager. Jimmy Worrall officially became the 53-year-old coach agent.

SunSport said that Wordrall was a close friend of Sir Jim Radcliffe, a minority shareholder of Manchester United.

In addition to holding the post of Southgate agent Jimmy Worrall is currently also a consultant at Ratcliffe's company, INEOS.

Wordrall is the founder and chairman of the conference firm Leaders in Sport, which hosts networking events around the world.

The Liverpool-born entrepreneur is also a consultant and has worked as an advisor to several leading organizations, including the INEOS and the European Club Association.

Wordrall is also close to INEOS Sports Director Sir Dave Brailsford. He also recommended the appointment of Dan Ashworth to Radcliffe.

Southgate has known Worrall for years. Wordrall has also been involved in discussions with the FA over the past few days that led to the announcement of Southgate's departure.

The partnership between Wordrall and Southgate raises questions regarding the manager's next career.

The problem is, it was widely heard earlier this year that Manchester United contacted Southgate to replace Erik ten Hag.
