PSSI targets two prospective Indonesian women's national team players, Estella Loupatty and Noa Leatomu, to strengthen Garuda Pertiwi in November.
According to PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Vivin Cahyani, contacted by ANTARA via the messaging application on Friday, PSSI is currently preparing a required document so that the naturalization process for Estella and Noa can be completed soon.
Estella and Noa have joined the training with Garuda Pertiwi under the tutelage of Japan coach, Satoru Mochizuki, for approximately two weeks in Jakarta.
"Noa and Estella have received a recommendation from Coach Mochi to be able to join the Indonesian senior national team," said Vivin.
"Currently PSSI is preparing all the required documents for the naturalization process of Noa and Estella before they can officially play in the national team. Hopefully, they can join the Women's ASEAN Cup in November," he added.
The women's national team is currently in Hong Kong to play a two-time test match against their national team. In the first match, Thursday 11 July, Shafira Ika and her friends lost 2-3 to Hong Kong. Their second match will be held on Sunday 14 July.
Of the 24 names brought by Satoru to Hong Kong, there are three players who have Indonesian and United States blood, namely Kayla Ristianto, Katarina Stalin, and Sydney secret.
Vivin said that Kayla and Katarina were able to play, while Sydney was still waiting for a reply from the United States federation to play.
"Kayla Ristianto and Katarina can play live. Sydney is still waiting for a reply from the US Federation," he said.
