End Of Boring France At Euro 2024, Deschamps: I'm Responsible

JAKARTA - Champion at the 2018 World Cup and becoming a finalist four years later, but France had a bad fate at Euro 2024. France's boring performance ended already.

Spain stopped Les Bleus' move in the semifinals. Didier Deschamps coach called himself responsible for the failure.

France showed a pretty good performance against Spain in the semifinals of Euro 2024. In fact, this is Adrien Rabiot's best performance and colleagues during their performance in Germany.

"I am responsible (for France's failure). Spain shows they are indeed a good team. We did score the first goal, but the opponent really made it difficult for us. They are superior and fully master the game," said Deschamps.

Furthermore, the former French captain said that the team did not have a lethal powerful weapon. In addition, the team was unable to pressure Spain despite trying to play offensively.

When entering the second half in a position that was left behind, France actually had more opportunities than Spain. However, they are less clinical so that the final finish never came to fruition.

"We don't have a deadly weapon. We also can't dominate as usual. We should play better and control the game," he said again.

"In addition, we are unable to play effectively when we have to face Spain, which is a good team. We did fight until the end, but we also have limitations. We have six matches and this is a bit draining of stamina," he said.

France's failure at Euro 2024 makes them still unable to match Germany's record, which has been recorded three times as European champions. After reaching the final at Euro 2016, France failed at Euro 2020 and 2024.
