Leroy Sane Regrets Making Manchester City's Big Tattoo

JAKARTA - Leroy Sane made a shocking confession recently. He regrets getting a big Manchester City tattoo on his back.

Sane enjoyed four seasons at the Etihad by winning two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and three League Cups.

One of Sane's best moments came when he scored a 5-3 win over Monaco in the 2016/2017 Champions League even though finally Citizens lost on aggregate in the round of 16.

The former Schalke star then got a tattoo to commemorate the day. However, now he regrets having done so.

"As I said, I am still young. Today I will make a different decision."

"I am someone who has to hit the wall at least once, even though it hurts, to learn from him, especially at a young age," Sane told Der Spiegel.

Sane made headlines when he revealed his artwork in 2017. The media spotlight about his tattoo was quite surprising.

"I'm surprised that this topic is so big in the media, I'm still very young. In Germany, there are players who are much more important than me, but these tattoos are still being debated."

"Friends also said that to me: 'Leroy, some people say you look very arrogant'. I can even understand a little."

"When I was in public, I tended to be alone. I didn't want to reveal too much about myself. It could be considered wrong. It wasn't intentional either. I'm not like that either," said Sane again.

Sane finally left Etihad in 2020 to return to Germany with Bayern Munich.

Since then, he has won the Bundesliga title three times as well as the Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and three German Super Cups.

The 28-year-old winger has scored 29 goals in 123 Bundesliga appearances since joining Bayern Munich in 2020.

Now, Sane is battling Germany at Euro 2024. He is trying to help Der Panzer achieve glory at home.

Sane will now be eager to add 13 of his international goals with Germany at Euro 2024.
