Surabaya - Athletes wushu Indonesia again made brilliant achievements by donating two gold medals in the Taolu category at the 2024 ASEAN University Games (AUG) which took place at the Ubaya Sport Center, Surabaya, Saturday 29 June. The two gold medals were won by Calista Alexandra Setiawan in the women's Taiji Jian number and Hanamaira Alinskha in the women's Nan Dao number.

Calista Alexandra Setiawan looked stunning in the Taiji Jian Putri number by collecting 9,480 points, ahead of Singapore's Teo Yu CXuan who won 9,470 points and Adelia Sidharta from Indonesia who got 9,453 points.

In Nan Dao Putri's number, Hanamaira Alinskha also won gold with a total of 9,480 points, beating Lee Sze Min Josephine from Singapore who got 9,466 points.

Not only gold medals, Indonesia also added one silver through Hendy Irmanto Juan in the Taiji Jian Putra number with 9,470 points, but must recognize the superiority of Cah Jun Kai from Singapore who won gold with 9,476 points.

Alexandra Calista Setiawan also admitted that she tried to appear more confident after only winning silver in Taiji Quan's number on the first day. "The key is more confident in yourself if you can do the best you can during training," said Calista.

The Indonesian Wushu manager, Sherly Hoediono, is proud to see the appearance of his athletes who continue to win gold medals. "If the Indonesian team plays optimally, there is the same as training and some are better than training," he said.
