Profile Of Noa Leatomu, A Dutch-Indonesian Player Who Defends The Indonesian Women's National Team

JAKARTA - The name Noa Leatomu immediately became a conversation after she joined the Indonesian Women's National Team training camp (TC) on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at ABC Senayan Field, Jakarta.

Last year, Noa was widely heard wanting to defend Indonesia in an interview with Yussa Nugraha on YouTube.

That desire was not without reason. The 21-year-old player is a Dutch-born player who has an Indonesian lineage from his father.

Noa's father is known to have been born in the Netherlands, but he has Indonesian blood from his grandfather.

According to VOI.id's search, it is very likely that Noa Leatomu has Ambon blood considering that Leatomu is a fam from Kariu, a country in Haruku Island District, Central Maluku Regency.

Noa Leatomu is so happy that finally her dream came true to join the Indonesian Women's National Team. He also revealed the reason why he chose Indonesia.

"Actually, many of my family are Indonesians. My father is originally Indonesian."

"I would be very honored to be able to play for the Indonesian Women's National Team," said Noa Leatomu.

Noa's football blood came down from his family. He revealed that since childhood there had been a urge to play football.

"My family lives in the Netherlands and they are so crazy about football. So, I also started to love football from a young age."

"I ended up very attached to football coming from my family," said Noa.

Currently Noa Leatomu is defending the KRC Genk Ladies Belgium. Previously, he had studied at the Dutch club, Fortune Sittard Vrouwen. He is also noted to have played for FC Eindhoven and Alemannia Aachen.

Noa Leatomu often plays on the side of the field, both as a right-wing defender and a winger.

Noa Leatomu can't wait to appear in an official tournament with the Indonesian Women's National Team. He hopes to win many titles for the Red and White.

"If I join the Indonesian Women's National Team, I hope to get all of them. First, it might be great if we can qualify from the group in the upcoming Asian Cup," said Noa.
