JAKARTA - Racer from Indonesia, Sean Gelael has arrived at the Le Mans circuit in France. He will compete at the FIA WEC on Wednesday, June 12.

Quoted from the official statement on Sunday, the racers have completed the administration and the "pesage" session, aka checking the feasibility of the car or famous, called the screening on Friday (7/6), then continued two Test Day sessions on Sunday.

Sean Gelael became one of the riders highlighted during the pesage session, which was accompanied by a question and answer session. During the question and answer session, Sean was asked about a great accident at the previous FIA WEC round which took place at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.

"Actually (the accident) is not what we wanted to finish the race... In Imola we finished 1-2 and in Spa it didn't finish at all. I hope there won't be any more incidents like this at Le Mans which is a faster circuit than Spa-Francorchamps. But once again this proves that the safety and security level is very high at the FIA WEC," said Sean Gelael as quoted by ANTARA.

Sean and Team WRT 31 are now aiming for a race victory like in the Imola series. "This is a special race because of the 25th anniversary of BMW's participation in the car resistance competition," said Sean.

For Sean, this is his fourth time performing at 24 Hours of Le Mans. He competed in LMP2 class for the first three seasons, while this year LM LGT3 in a BMW M4 GT3.

Sean's teammate at WRT 31, Augusto Farfus is also excited to go all out at Le Mans because he has never had a single win in his racing career.

"I've had several races at Le Mans, but I've never won. This time we want to win, just win. It's about whether it affects the title race, that's it later," said the Brazilian racer.

Test Day is a special training session for all participants as an initial introduction to the Circuit de la Sharte which is used for the 24-hour race.

This 13.6 km long circuit is indeed unique, because part of the circuit is a regular highway and there are even no lights at night.
