Acting Governor Of West Java Suggests Persib Players Entrepreneurship From League 1 Champion Bonuses

The West Java Governor gave a bonus to Persib Bandung (doc. West Java Provincial Government) players.

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, gave a 'kadeudeuh' alias bonus to Persib Bandung players who won the 2023-2024 Liga 1.

Kadeudeuh was received directly by the representative of Persib Bandung player, Henhen Herdiana.

To the management of Persib Bandung, Bey said that the bonus given by the West Java Provincial Government through Bank BJB, PT Migas Hulu Jabar, and PT Jamkrida could be used as a long-term investment for life after becoming a football athlete.

"I think, as regional heads, there are many West Java sons in Persib. So, don't let them after playing football their fate is not clear," said Bey.

Therefore, Bey said that he would offer several entrepreneurial programs at Bank BJB to Persib Bandung players.

"I ask West Java Bank (BJB) BUMDs to help offer, not obliged because we often see and hear, whether footballers, badminton, or whatever at their productive age are victorious."

"However, then at the age of 40-50 years, it has started to fall again. Bank BJB has several programs, including entrepreneurs or others, but even if they want, at least they are equipped with knowledge," he said.

Bey shared that the profession of footballers is the same as people who work in offices. However, what distinguishes them, they (ball players) have had careers since they initially only focused on playing football.

Therefore, he hopes that all Persib Bandung players, especially local sons, must be able to maintain a better life after hanging up their shoes from the gridiron.

"So, if you can survive, it means the same as people from childhood, elementary, junior high, high school, college, then work. Only they (Persib players) took as football players first."

"However, after playing football, they must be able to maintain their lives with good standard of living," said Bey.

Meanwhile, Hehen Herdiana was grateful to receive attention from the West Java Provincial Government.

According to Henhen, this will be a trigger for him and the other players to give him better achievements next season.

"Alhamdulillah, we as players and officials can gather with the Governor and our parents in the ranks of Persib Bandung. Hopefully in the following year we can be even better and what Allah SWT has given," said Henhen.
