JAKARTA Two Indonesian national team players Jordi Amat and Justin Hubner have yet to be confirmed to play or not in a test match against Tanzania.

The two players were all present and joined the squad when the match took place tomorrow Sunday, June 2, at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta.

The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae Yong (STY), did not want to confirm whether the two would play even though they were with the team on match day.

"Jordi arrived in Indonesia last night and Justin today. Tomorrow it is very likely that Jordi will play, but Justin will get to Indonesia and there will be a meeting together and after that it will be decided whether he can play or not," said STY.

The match against Tanzania will be a preparation for the Garuda Troops to play the remaining two matches of Group F from the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone.

STY did not attach importance to the outcome of this trial. The South Korean tactician fully wants his squad to mature in performance and physical for the qualifying match later.

"First of all, I personally thank Tanzania for responding well. They came all the way from Africa. Then the European and Indonesian leagues happened to be finished so I deliberately held a faster trial to improve performance," he said.

The remaining two 2026 World Cup Qualification matches were against Iraq on June 6 and the nearest Philippines 11 June. Indonesia only needs one win to get a third round ticket as well as qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup.

Currently STY's squad sits second in the group standings with a collection of seven points or five points adrift of Iraq in first place.
