Tyson Fury Vs Oleksandr Usyk Rematch Date Postponed

JAKARTA - Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will undergo a rematch according to the clause. The initial plan, the re-match will be held in October 2024.

However, the Head of the Saudi Arabian Sports Authority as the organizer, Turkey Alalshikh, revealed that the reschedule date was postponed.

Turkey has determined that the rematch is scheduled for December 21, 2024.

"The rematch between the unwarranted heavyweight world champions Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is scheduled for December 21, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)."

"The world will witness another historic battle. Our commitment to boxing fans continues. We hope you enjoy it," said Turkey.

Previously, it was known that Fury and Usyk had fought for the undisputed world heavyweight title on May 18, 2024 in Saudi Arabia.

The match was tough and brutal for 12 rounds. Usyk came out victorious in the number decision.

Usyk made history because no one has been able to seize the undisputed world heavyweight title for 25 years.

The boxer from Ukraine now holds four heavyweight belts, namely WBO, WBC, WBA, and IBF.

Meanwhile, Fury, who lost, got the right to propose a rematch according to the fight contract clause.

In fact, the inaugural Fury vs Usyk duel was scheduled for February 17, 2024. However, Fury was forced to postpone the fight after suffering serious injuries in training, two weeks before the match.
