Bali United Rises, Gasak Rajawali Medan 93-76

At the Merpati Sports Hall, Denpasar Bali, Sunday, Bali United Basketball managed to win a brilliant victory over Rajawali Medan with a final score of 93-76 in the 2024 IBL match, Sunday 19 May. Despite being left behind in the first half, Bali United was able to turn things around and control the game until the end.

Rajawali Medan had controlled the match by maintaining an advantage of up to 8 points in the first half. However, Bali United bounced back before the break and continued to press in the second half, maintaining their lead until the end of the match.

Bali United has never been left behind since the beginning of the third quarter, started the round with a three-point advantage (48-45), and continued to widen the gap in the next quarter. They displayed solid defense which made it difficult for Rajawali Medan to score points, especially in the fourth quarter where Bali United became more aggressive and detained Rajawali only 13 points.

The key players in Bali United such as Ryan Batte, who contributed 23 points even though starting from the bench, also strengthened the team. Xavier Cannefax and Kierell Green also impressed, where Cannefax scored 30 points and Green contributed double-doubly with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

On the Rajawali side of Medan, although Patrick McGlynn IV tried hard with a record of 31 points, the absence of Jabari Bird was felt in team productivity. Jonas Zohore also contributed with 12 points and 14 rebounds, but not enough to beat Bali United.

This defeat marked two consecutive defeats for Rajawali Medan after previously defeating the Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta team. With a record of 8 wins and 11 defeats, they are now in fourth place in the standings.
