JAKARTA - After the third place in the 2024 U23 Asian Cup, which was held at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Qatar. The match was won by the Iraqi national team with a score of 2-1. Indonesia initially took the lead in the 19th minute with the first goal scored by Ivar Jenner.

However, Iraq immediately equalized in the 27th minute through Zaid Tahseen's kick. Until the end of the second half, both Indonesia and Iraq, both managed to defend the goal and the score was balanced. But this did not last long, in the extra time round, Iraq changed the position to 2-1 and managed to outperform Indonesia.

Although the Indonesian national team continues to strive to equalize the position, now Garuda Muda must be tolerant with a final score of 2-1. Various kinds of respect were also given by Indonesian supporters who remained proud of the achievement of the national team. Because last night's match was sporty with the referee who was considered quite fair.

Even so, the Indonesian national team still has the opportunity to take part in the 2024 Paris Olympics through the play-off match against Guinea on 9 May.
