Indonesia U-23 Is Desperate For The First Olympics Since 68 Years Ago

JAKARTA - Indonesia U-23 has succeeded in stepping into the semifinals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. Uzbekistan U-23 will be the opponent at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 21.00 WIB.

No wonder, one of the U-23 Indonesian players, Witan Sulaeman, promised his team would be desperately facing Uzbekistan U-23 in the top four.

"When competing, we played like we practiced. We followed instructions from our head coach (Shin Tae-yong), how he wanted to play. That's why we were able to create chances and score goals."

"Against Uzbekistan the U-23 will be a tough game as we play against a good team."

"However, the players are in good condition. We will fight harder than (which we did in) the last match)," said Witan.

Witan is one of the important players for Indonesia U-23. He contributed two of Garuda Muda's seven plus one assist to the final stage.

The 22-year-old has made more than 100 appearances in all age groups for the Garuda Squad, including 44 caps for the senior national team since 2021.
