Many Prohibitions Of Nobar Indonesia U-23, Kemenpora: Yes, As Long As It's Not Commercialized

The full support of Indonesian supporters is urgently needed by Garuda Muda (doc. AFC).

JAKARTA - The euphoria of the Indonesian people to support the U-23 Indonesian national team in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup semifinals is unstoppable. Many plans to watch together (nobar) are scheduled at many points, but recently there have been many discourses that there is a ban on notification.

Related to this, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) has opened its voice. In the agenda of a joint press conference with the official broadcaster, the Ministry of Youth and Sports straightened out that the nobar agenda is still freely permitted as long as it is not commercialized.

"We allow nobar as long as it is not commercialized. Commercial here does not charge fees or install sponsors or advertisements. If you want a nobar, of course we strongly encourage it," said Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Gunawan Suswantoro, as quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Previously, it was rumored that there was a ban on the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup semifinal event which brought together Indonesia U-23 against Uzbekistan U-23 at the Abdullah bin Khalia Stadium on Monday, April 29, 2024, WIB night.

Aware of the huge public interest, the Ministry of Youth and Sports then supports all initiatives carried out by a number of local governments as long as this is not aimed at commercial purposes.

Moreover, a big interest for Indonesian fans was born because they wanted to provide support to Garuda Muda who was hunting for tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"Let's always pray for the struggle of the Young Garuda Squad to achieve achievements. Until this point is a proud achievement," he said.

Gunawan continued that his party together with the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and MNC Group as the owners of exclusive rights and official broad-caster media licenses gave the highest appreciation to the Indonesian people who always give full support to Garuda Muda.

Previously, PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir also appreciated the extraordinary support from the Indonesian people by holding the U-23 Indonesian national team event against South Korea U-23 in the quarter-finals.

Through a personal Instagram account, Erick uploaded a video containing community euphoria in various parts of Indonesia such as Batang, Purwokerto, Cibitung, Bandar Lampung, Ambon, Banjarmasin, Pontianak, Riau Islands, Pemalang, Cilegon, Medan, Semarang, Malang, and Manokwari when Garuda Muda silenced South Korea U-23.

He admitted that he had goosebumps seeing the support of the U-23 Indonesian national team supporters from the west end to the eastern tip of Indonesia because it was very compact for the Red and White.

Erick then hopes that public support will be even more massive when the U-23 Indonesian national team faces Uzbekistan U-23.
