JAKARTA - Indonesia U23 national team coach Shin Tae-yong emphasized that Garuda Muda's mission in the last match of Group A of the 2024 Asian Cup Qatar was to beat Jordan at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Sunday at 22.30 WIB.

Garuda Muda only needed one point against Jordan to qualify for the quarter-finals, but the South Korean coach confirmed Rizky Ridho and his friends' mission to pick up three points to qualify for the knockout stages.

"Indeed, this is the Middle East (team), one of the Middle East teams that is not so easy to beat and is also very strong in posture. So I emphasize to the players that we must not be careless in fighting them," Shin said on the PSSI official website on Sunday.

"All preparations (are) to win, of course will be targeted for victory," he added.

Only Ramadhan Sananta was absent due to a ban on playing in two games, while Ivar Jenner, whose player Jong FC Utrecht, was able to return to play after being absent against Australia for getting two yellow cards when he met Qatar in the inaugural match.

"Then there were several players including Nathan and Arhan who ( onto) the collision, yes, but it looks like it doesn't matter to play," said Shin.
