Badminton follows a number of other Indonesian sports that have ensured their participation in this year's Olympics, namely archery, artistic gymnastics, shooting, rock climbing, surfing, weightlifting, and athletics.

Fadil said that after this badminton athletes still had to struggle to catch up on points in order to get the leading position in France later.

In Paris, there will be a total of 172 badminton athletes who will fight in the five sectors above. The badminton branch is one of Indonesia's seeds to get a gold medal.

At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Indonesia brought home the gold medal from women's doubles through Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu and the men's singles bronze medal obtained by Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.
