JAKARTA - Xabi Alonso stated that he chose to stay with Bayer Leverkusen for next season. This decision is highly understood by Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp thinks Alonso is doing an amazing job with Leverkusen so the 42-year-old coach prefers to stay with Die Werksels to finalize his flying hours as a coach.

Alonso's decision made Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Liverpool bite their fingers and have to be patient for one more season when the release clause for the coach who was born on November 25, 1981 was active.

"He did an amazing job there. They have a great team and will probably keep the team united," Klopp told a news conference on Fabrizio Romano's official X account on Saturday.

"I understand that he wants to do that. For other things, there's honestly nothing I need to say about that," continued Klopp.

Quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, March 30, since it was brought in in early October 2022, Alonso has made an extraordinary work with Leverkusen until they are unbeaten in 38 matches in all competitions during this season.

Florian Wirtz cs recorded 33 wins, five draws, 104 points, 109 goals, and only conceded 30 goals.

Alonso's announcement of Alonso's survival with Leverkusen will soon be announced by the club after the Spaniard discussed with high-ranking Leverkusen about his future.

My job at Leverkusen is not over yet. I want to help this club, help players develop, the board of directors is very good, everything is fantastic here," said Alonso.

"I'm still a young coach but I think this is the best decision for my future. I took my time and I'm sure of it," he added.
