Regarding Paulo Dybala, AS Roma Rejects Francesco Totti's Advice

JAKARTA - The prince Francesco Totti caused chaos in AS Roma. Because of this he advised Roma to sell Paulo striker Dybala. His statement made fans divided.

Totti is clearly the icon of Rome, just like coach Daniele De Rossi. The quote is still and still has a big influence among fans.

No wonder when Totti commented about Dybala, fans immediately responded differently. Previously, Totti criticized Dybala who only played '15 times every year' because of the frequent injury.

"We are talking about top players. We also need to understand what the club wants in the future and what their [club] targets next season," said Totti.

"If I were a director, I would consider players who only play 15 times a year. If I had important targets and one of my best players was only ready in a third of the game, I would certainly give an assessment," said Totti when alluding to Dybala.

However, Totti had previously praised the performance of the Argentine national team player. He stated that I Giallorossi must with all efforts defend Dybala.

Totti's statement ultimately led to controversy. Some support Totti's attitude, but some reject it.

Some fans think Dybala has shown impressive performance. This season, Dybala has scored 14 goals during 28 appearances in various competitions. He played for 2000 minutes.

However, the former Juventus forward was absent for 13 games due to physical problems, including when Roma won 1-0 over Sassuolo at home.

Totti can only assume about Dybala because he is not part of the club's management.

On the other hand, Roma made sure not to accept the legend's advice. The club without hesitation ensured Dybala's future remains at I Lupi.

In addition, he got a good salary in Rome. Dybala pocketed a salary of 6 million euros per season. He is also fit and can be De Rossi's mainstay until the end of this season.

Dybala joined Roma in 2022. Roma also got the 30-year-old free of charge. He left Juve on a free transfer.
