JAKARTA Indonesia is recorded to have created 21 All Indonesian Finals aka clashes between Indonesian representatives in the history of the oldest badminton tournament in the world, All England.

The newest is the meeting between Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting at All England 2024 on Sunday, March 17, 2024. The duel was won by Jonathan.

This title ended the men's singles drought which lasted 30 years since Hariyanto Arbi came out as champion to beat Ardy Bernardus Wiranata in 1994.

The latest clash between Jonathan vs Ginting is the ninth All Indonesian Finals in the men's singles sector or the second most after the men's doubles which recorded 11 clashes among Indonesian representatives.

Eight clashes among other Indonesian representatives in the men's singles four were won by Rudy Hartono. He is also a record holder with eight men's singles titles that have not been broken to date, both for Indonesia and the world.

Rudy recorded a win against Pek Sen Wong in 1969, Tjin Siang Ang in 1971, Christian Hadinata in 1973, and Liem Swie King in 1976. He also explored the All Indonesian Finals in 1978, but ended up runner-up.

Meanwhile, the other three men's singles All Indonesian Finals are Joe Hok Tan vs Ferdinand Alexander Sonneville (1959), Hariyanto Arbi vs Joko Suprianto (1993), and Hariyanto Arbi vs Ardy Bernardus Wiranata (1994).

One All Indonesia Finals remains in the women's singles sector. It happened in 1991 when Susi Susanti beat her colleague, Sarwendah Kusumawardhani.

As for the women's doubles, which has two titles and mixed doubles, has six titles in All England, never once recorded a history of meeting fellow countries.
