Curry Brings Warriors To Win After Returning From Injury

JAKARTA - Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry led his team to win over the Los Angeles Lakers with a final score of 128-121 in the match at the Los Angeles California Crypto.com Arena, Sunday WIB, after returning from an injury that caused him to miss three matches.

Curry became the highest scorer by recording 31 points despite starting the game slowly with no points in the first quarter.

"Steph is a liar. He's really amazing," said Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr as quoted from the NBA's official website.

"He started slowly, but he was never worried and we were never worried. What he did was open up opportunities for everyone," he said again.

Klay Thompson helped with 26 points, Jonathan Kuminga with 23 points, and Andrew Wismen with 16 points. From the Lakers, LeBron James played outstanding by scoring 40 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. DAngelo Russell added 23 points and 13 assists for the Lakers who lost their last two matches. Rui Hachimura scored 14 points, and Austin Reaves 11 points.

The matches between the two teams ranked ninth and 10th in the West Region NBA standings have been tight since the first time. But since Anthony Davis did not play again after the first quarter, the Warriors were in control until the end of the game. Davis only played 12 minutes and scored 8 points due to injury.

Next, the Warriors will host the New York Knicks on Tuesday (19/3), and the Lakers against the Hawks on the same day.
