Take Note Of Hattrick, Harry Kane's Sharpness Is Ready To Be Bayern Munich's Mainstay To Rise

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich had a goal party against Mainz on Saturday (9/3/2024) yesterday. Harry Kane proved his sharpness could still be a mainstay for spreading threats in the Bundesliga.

The England captain said Bayern Munich had regained their form and became a dangerous team after only bagging one win from the last four games in the Bundesliga. But Die Rotten's performance stepped up while eliminating Lazio 3-0 in the Champions League and an 8-1 goal party at home to Mainz.

"If we played as we did in the last two games, we could be very dangerous with the quality of the team we have," Kane said as reported by AFP, citing from Antara (10/3/2024).

"I hope we can use this win as a spirit and that's the goal now, to continue the rest of our match," said the former Tottenham Hotspur spearhead.

Bayern, who have won 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles since the 2012-2013 season, are seven points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. The difference in points could widen to 10 points if Xabi Alonso's men beat Wolfsburg on Sunday night.

"Of course disappointed that you are not in the top position in the league, but you have to give Leverkusen praise. They have had a special season," Kane said.

Kane, who scored 30 goals in 25 league games this season, managed to match Uwe Seeler's record in 1963-64 as the player who scored the most goals in his first season.

But that record will not mean much to Kane who is eyeing a title with Bayern Munich. Since strengthening Spurs in 2010, Harry Kane has not tasted a single title.

"I came here to score goals and help the team as much as possible. We all know we want to win trophies, Bundesliga, Champions League," he said.

"Everything can turn around very quickly in football. You experience joy and sorrow, but you just have to live it and try more," said the 2015 Premier League's top scorer, 2016'17, and 2020'21.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel, who will be leaving the club at the end of the season due to poor team performance, backed Harry Kane to keep scoring and equaled Robert Lewandowski's 41 goals in a season.

"He did what he always did throughout his career. He is a role model, has a great personality and a top player," said Tuchel.

"Being a coach is a matter of pride," concluded Tuchel.
