Jorge Martin Wins The 2024 Qatar MotoGP Sprint Race

Jorge Martin won the Qatar 2024 MotoGP Sprint Race (doc. MotoGP).

JAKARTA - Jorge Martin, Prima Pramac Racing Ducati, won the 2024 MotoGP Sprint Race at the Lusail International Circuit on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Martin, who appeared from pole, was not disturbed in the leading position. He took the lead throughout the 11 lap race.

Martin, who previously broke the record as the fastest rider of all time at the Lusail Circuit in qualifying sessions, actually under pressure from Brad Binder.

The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing racer shot to second despite starting the race from the fourth grid.

However, Binder failed to overtake Martin and had to settle for finishing as runner-up for the 2024 Qatar MotoGP Sprint Race with a difference of 0.548 from Martin.

Meanwhile, Aleix Espargaro from Aprilia Racing who started the race from the second grid completed the podium by finishing third in the Sprint Race.

Then, Francesco Bagnaia occupies the fourth position. Ducati Lenovo, who is also the 2023 MotoGP champion, failed to maintain his position after being overtaken by Aleix Espargaro in the last few laps.

Marc Marquez then completed the top five Sprint Races. The Spaniard, who just debuted with the Ducati satellite team, Gresini Racing, failed to compete with Espargaro and Bagnaia for the third podium.

Apart from that, Qatar's 2024 MotoGP main race is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 00.00 WIB.
