Persis Solo Wins EPA U-20 2023/2024 After Overthrowing Persita Tangerang

Persis Solo U-20 won the EPA U-20 2023/2024 (doc. PSSI).

SOLO - Persis Solo U-20 won the title in the U-20 Elite Pro Academic (EPA) final which was held at Manahan Stadium, Solo. They won 3-1 against Persita Tangerang U-20.

In Thursday's match, March 7, 2024, a special moment also occurred. This match is the first test event for the operation of video assistant referee (VAR) in the official competition under the auspices of PSSI.

Appearing at home with the support of supporters, Persis Solo immediately attacked Persita Tangerang's defense from the early minutes.

Unmitigated, two chances were immediately created, even though the effort could still be countered by goalkeeper Rizwar Haikal.

The fun of attacking made Laskar Samber Young's life careless. They were first missed by counterattack. Persita won 1-0 through Ikhwan Ali Tamal.

After missing, Persis tried to catch up. Their efforts bore fruit in the 30th minute. Dicky Daniel scored the equalizer goal. The 1-1 score lasted until halftime.

Persita received a penalty after Kaka Reda Depriadi was tackled by Surya Dharma Putra in the 85th minute. However, referee Thoriq Alkatiri annulled the decision after consulting VAR.

Kaka Reda is considered diving first before being tackled by Surya Dharma Putra.

There were no additional goals for both teams in the remaining time of the second half.

This result made Persis Solo U-20 officially won the inaugural title of the 2023/2024 U-20 Elite Pro Academy.
