Can Still Appeal, Persib Vs Persija Match Has Opportunity To Be Attended By Spectators

JAKARTA - The big match between Persib Bandung vs Persija Jakarta will be held in the 28th week of Liga 1 2023/2024 at the Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA). However, the match on Saturday, March 8, 2024, was threatened without spectators.

This situation occurred because Maung Bandung had been sanctioned by the PSSI Disciplinary Commission (Komdis). Based on a letter sent on Friday, March 1, 2024, number 191/L1/SK/KD-PSSl/III/2024, it is known that Persib is prohibited from holding matches with spectators as many as one match.

Based on the letter, the sentence applies in the 28th week of Liga 1 2023/2024. The problem is, this week is a game full of prestige against Persija Jakarta.

However, the decision to hold a match without spectators against Persija still has the opportunity to be attended by Maung Bandung supporters. The host can still file an appeal.

This was conveyed by the Public Relations (PR) of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), Sabina Badminton. He said that the verdict was not yet fully final.

"Yes, that (Persib's match without spectators) is true. However, for now it can still (change the situation) because the host can still file an appeal," he said in a statement quoted on Monday, March 4, 2024.

Although it has stated that Persib may file an appeal, Sabrina admits that until today there has been no information whether Persib will do it or not.

"Regarding the appeal, we have not received further information," said Sabrina.

Persib's chances of playing the match against Persija with the support of Bobotoh and Viking are still open. However, the final results of the permit will also be judged based on the decision of the PSSI Appeal Committee (Komding).

Previously, it was known that Persib Bandung was sentenced without spectators due to the chaos that occurred in the Persib vs PSIS Semarang match, February 27, 2024. At that time, there was a riot outside the stadium after the match.
