Masional Racers Start Testing The Mandalika Racing Series Circuit, Free Spectators Enter

JAKARTA - Dozens of national racers for the Mandalika Racing Series (MRS) began testing the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, on March 2-3. This national class race offers automotive fans the opportunity to watch exciting and thrilling racing for free.

"This MRS race will open a series of motorcycle racing championships in Indonesia starting March 2-3 at the Mandalika Circuit," said Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) President Director Priandhi Satria in Praya, Saturday, March 2.

He said the MGPA had provided special Grandstand A for spectators for free as the ideal place to watch this iron race up close. In addition, Grandstand A also provides spectacular views and strategic positions to enjoy every moment of the race.

He explained that as many as five series of motorcycle racing will color the 2024 Mandalika Racing Series. Among other things, three of them are in the main class, namely Sport 150 cc, Sport 250 cc, and Super Sport 600 cc.

"Meanwhile, the other two classes, there are Underbone 150 U-20 classes, Supersport 600 cc, and Superbike 1000 cc Community," he said.

The implementation of motorcycle racing is one of the steps for the development of young racers in Indonesia. Therefore, the MGPA will continue to facilitate coaching to build the achievements of Indonesian racers so that they can take a higher race level.

The Mandalika Racing Series, he continued, has become an icon of the national championship that has brought up champion riders at higher levels such as the ARRC and the Asia Talent Cup.

"With the holding of five rounds this year, it is hoped that the MRS event can again get new winners to continue the supremacy of Indonesian motorcycle racing in the future," he said.

Facing this event, various improvements have been made. Such as technical regulations, namely registration of component products for racing motorbikes. This rule is issued regarding product registration so that all components used have been registered with IMI, so that application can be protected at racing events.

"This is our effort to keep the wheels of competition at the national level running with the support of sponsors," he said.

In addition to technical regulations, another thing that distinguished it from MRS last year was the existence of a superpole race, which was carried out to determine the composition of racers who would occupy the starting position.
