In Order To Stay In League 1, Bhayangkara FC Will Use All Its Capabilities

JAKARTA - Bhayangkara FC's interim coach (caretaker), Emral Abus, stated that his team will go all out when they host Madura United in the 27th week of Liga 1 2023/2024. Victory is the team's main target to survive in Liga 1.

The match between Bhayangkara FC and Madura United will be held at the PTIK Stadium, Jakarta, on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 19.00 WIB. In that match, Emral will take the lead because the previous coach, Mario Gomez, was fired for bad results.

In order to realize the target, Emral has even held a joint meeting with all club elements ranging from players, officials, to management.

"We are aware that the last two games conceded eight goals, losing 1-4 and 0-4. This is indeed a tough job, but we are all optimistic," he said at a press conference on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

"All the players are determined to get up and everything that happened has been realized. Yesterday we gathered with players that the match against Madura United was a final match, we were all out," he said.

"We don't want to fall into League 2. We all have to be in League 1. We focus on the match against Madura United first. Hopefully we can win the game," he said.

Since the 3-0 victory against Persita Tangerang in December 2023, The Guardian has actually fallen in the next three matches with nine conceded statistics and only scored one goal. On the other hand, Laskar Sape Kerab is unbeaten from the last three matches by winning two final matches.

Emral highlighted Bhayangkara's weakness regarding the transition and lack of focus until the end of the match. He asked that these two aspects be improved against Mauricio Ferreira de Souza's team.

"Don't concede first. If we concede first, then score again, it means losing too. What is clear is that we didn't concede and had to score a goal against the opponent," said the 65-year-old man.

He realized that Madura United was a strong team that is now chasing the end of the competition in the winning series zone. However, with determination, intention, and the spirit of never giving up, Emral believes that the three points for his team in the match will not be impossible.

"We have to be optimistic. The coach is not optimistic, how the players are. This is determination. The problem of results, we leave it to the Almighty. In a determination and intention, we want to win the match because we feel ashamed that relegation," he said.
