JAKARTA The Indonesian Cycling Parabal Team managed to bring home three gold medals from the 2024 Crossing Bicycle Racing Championships.
In the championship which took place at the Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi, India, February 22-26, 2024, Indonesia won a total of 10 medals, three gold, four silver, and three bronze medals each.
Three Indonesian gold medals were contributed by Muhammad Fadli Imammuddin and Sofyan Saori, respectively.
Fadli bought two gold medals from the men's category C4 Time Trial 1 Km with a time of 1 minute 13.192 seconds, ahead of the racer from Saudi Arabia, Bassam Almajrashi.
M. Fadli is also the fastest in the men's category C4 Individual Pursuit (IP) 4000, again absolute ahead of Almajrashi.

"I am quite satisfied to be able to win two gold medals in this Asian cycling championship because it was a good start at the beginning of 2024. This championship is our preparation for appearing at the 2024 Paris Paralympics," said Fadli.
"My struggle was very difficult during my race here, especially against Saudi Arabian racers. The point is in the individual number where I have to fight myself so that my ability can develop in the future," he said.
The third gold medal was presented by Saori in the men's category of C5 4 Km. Saori finished fastest ahead of four of his competitors with a time of 5 minutes 09.528 seconds.
Meanwhile, the silver and bronze medals in this category were won by the Malaysian athlete duo, namely Zuhairi Ahmad Tarmizi (silver) and Muhammad Hafiz Jamali (bungung).

Indonesian cycling paratrainer, Rizan Setyo Nugroho, said that winning three gold medals was a good achievement for Indonesian cyclists in chasing tickets to appear at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
"The results mean a lot to the contingent of Indonesian cyclists because this is a point towards the 2024 Paris Paralympics," said Rizan.
Then, Tifan Abid Alana bought four silver medals in the men's category C3 Time Trial 1 Km, IP 3000 C3,tainch Race C3, and Omnium C3.
The three bronze medals were all won by Sufyan Saori from the men's category C5 Time Trial 1 Km, Omnium C5, andtainch Race C5.
