Disappointed After Bhayangkara FC Lost To PSS Sleman, Sumardji Ultimatum Mario Gomez

JAKARTA - The ultimatum for the dismissal was sent by Chief Operating Officer (COO) Bhayangkara FC, Sumardji, to coach Mario Gomez. This happened after Bhayangkara was defeated by PSS Sleman at home.

Bhayangkara host PSS Sleman on the 25th anniversary of Liga 1 2023/2024 at the PTIK Stadium, South Jakarta, Thursday, February 22, 2024. The match ended with a score of 1-4 for the defeat of The Guardian.

After the match, Sumardji, who was met by reporters, said that he was still giving coach Mario Gomez a deadline to improve Bhayangkara's performance.

"I gave the coach a deadline. If he is still in this condition, yes, the consequences are forced, such as a contract contract, he must resign," said Sumardji.

"Yes, maybe two or three games we see," he said about the duration of the match given as a chance to improve.

Regarding Bhayangkara's sluggish performance, Sumardji also admitted that he did not understand what triggered it. In fact, he has also contributed a lot to the team.

"I also don't know (why Bhayangkara played badly). I was also surprised, really, so it was so bad like this."

The defeat to PSS at home made Bhayangkara even more slumped at the bottom of the standings with a collection of 15 points. They are 11 points behind the safe zone currently inhabited by Persita Tangerang.
