Facing Chelsea Tonight, Pep Asks His Players To Focus And Don't Care About Liverpool And Arsenal's Match

JAKARTA - Manchester City will face Chelsea on Saturday night and Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola asks his players to fully focus and not have to think about the results Liverpool and Arsenal have achieved.

The Citizen played home game against Chelsea in Week 25 of the Premier League on Saturday night. Manchester City is currently in second place in the standings with 52 points, two points behind Liverpool at the top of the table.

On the other hand, Arsenal also have 52 points in third place, so The Citizen is likely to step down if he loses to Chelsea. In tonight's game, Arsenal will face Burnley and Liverpool meet Brentford.

"When you arrive in the last eight to 10 games, we can see how many teams will be involved (in the title race)," Guardiola said.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich tactician admits that there are five teams that mathematically have the chance to win, although Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal still have the biggest chances.

"I think the three have a chance, but the distance between the fourth position (Tottenham) and the fifth position (Aston Villa) is also very small," he said.

"It doesn't matter if there are two, three, or four teams competing. As long as we win the game, and do our job. The rest is fine," he said.

The Citizen looked at the match against the Blues confidently thanks to 11 consecutive wins in all competitions this season. On the other hand, Chelsea played inconsistently which put Pochettino's squad stuck in 10th position.

However, Pep insists that Chelsea is still a dangerous team and could steal victory from Manchester City.

"They are an amazing team in all aspects, this is one of the toughest matches we have played until the end of the season," he said.

"They played very well in the last game. They have everything, intensity and quality," concluded Pep.
