Inter Milan Destroys Salernitana 4-0, Is Stronger In Leading The Italian League Standings

JAKARTA - Inter Milan increased their advantage at the top of the Italian League standings to ten points after winning a 4-0 victory over Salernitana's caretaker team. The match took place on Friday 16 February local time or Saturday 17 February morning WIB at the San Siro Stadium, Milan.

Simone Inzaghi, Inter coach, is getting closer to her first league title in her coaching career, with her team having no trouble overcoming Salernitana's resistance.

"It's really fun because the team is playing at a really high level. I'm satisfied with that," Inter striker Lautaro Martinez was quoted as saying by AFP.

"This is certainly a different team than last year, we have changed a lot but we are still trying to develop and look to the next game," added the Argentine.

Inter opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Marcus Thuram's strike using Carlos Augusto's cross. Martinez then doubled the lead just two minutes later with his curling shot.

In the 40th minute, Inter scored the third goal through Denzel Dumfries after Nicolo Barella's cross. Inter's party was even more complete with Marko Arnautovic's goal in the 90th minute, which was Inter's fourth goal in the match.

In another match, Torino ended a streak of two straight draws with a 2-0 win over Lecce. Total Bellanova opened Torino's lead in the 50th minute, while Duvan Zapata sealed his team's win with a goal in the 81st minute.

The result made Torino move up to ninth in the standings with 36 points, while Lecce stuck in 13th position with 24 points after losing both of them in a row.
