Enea Bastianini Monitored Aprilia When Her Position In Ducati Is Not Safe

JAKARTA - Ducati racer, Enea Bastianini, is predicted not to be at a safe point in the factory team. He has the opportunity to be kicked out. This situation made Enea rumored to be under Aprilia's supervision for MotoGP 2025.

By the end of this year, the transfer market for drivers for next season will be stretched again. The reason is, most of the drivers' contracts will expire, including Enea Bastianini in Ducati.

His position in the Italian team is also not certain to be safe. You see, Ducati is believed to be less impressed after Bastianini suffered an injury back and forth during his debut season after being picked up from Pramac.

Considering the situation, it is possible that Ducati will expel Bastianini to give way to Jorge Martin or Marc Marquez. Even though Bastianini showed promising pre-season test results in Sepang, his position was not certain to be safe.

Meanwhile, the Spanish duo, Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales, are still relied on by Aprilia until the end of the 2024 MotoGP. However, the continuation of the two in the 2025 season is also uncertain because Aprilia may be carrying out a reshuffle.

Aprillia CEO, Masimo Rivola, did not hide his interest in Enea Bastianini. He did not deny that the Italian racer was included in the criteria.

"I think everyone knows that Enea is one of the riders I love," said Masimo Rivola, quoted from Crash on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

"Carlo Pernat, his manager, knows very well that with my services he can achieve certain results in negotiations with Ducati," he said.

Masimo also hinted that Aprilia paved the way for Bastianini, but once again the CEO was reluctant to open the Factory plan too early.

"An Italian racer will definitely be useful for us, but whether Enea or another rider is still too early to say," said Masimo Rivola.
