The NOC Task Force And The PBSI Ad Hoc Team Will Hold An Intensive Meeting

The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) Task Force will hold an intensive meeting with the PBSI Ad Hoc Team to prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympics on February 26, 2024.

This was conveyed by the President of NOC Indonesia, Raja Sapta Oktohari, when receiving the Manager of the PBSI Ad Hoc Team, Armand Darmadji, and Deputy Manager, Ricky Subagja, in his office, Monday, February 12, 2024.

"This discussion will continue with an intensive meeting at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center and will involve other sports stakeholders such as Kemenpora, Chef de Mission (CdM), Olympians, and mentors who are the backbone in obtaining medals for badminton at the 2024 Paris Olympics," said Raja.

Armand and Ricky came to report directly on the development of badminton players who are currently struggling to qualify for collecting points to get tickets to Paris.

PBSI previously formed the Ad Hoc Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics in January 2024. The team led by Fadil Imran aims to increase the rating and pass as many badminton players as possible to France.

This team was assisted by former Olympic gold medalists. They served as mentors in each sector. Taufik Hidayat for the men's singles, Susy Susanti for the women's singles, Candra Wijaya for the men's doubles, Greysia Polii for the women's doubles, and Liliyana Natsir/Tontowi Ahmad for the mixed doubles.

"By involving figures who I personally know have high dedication and love for badminton, I am quite comfortable that Indonesia will get maximum results at the 2024 Paris Olympics," said Okto, Raja Sapta Oktohari's nickname.

So far, Indonesia has passed six athletes from four sports. In detail, one son and daughter from archery, Rifda Irfanaluthfi (six), Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi (rocket climbing), Rahmad Adi Mulyono (rocket climbing), and Fathur Gustafian (shooting).
