TC Indonesian U-23 National Team For The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Held Abroad

Shin Tae-yong will lead the U-23 Indonesian national team (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team will first hold a training camp (TC) before appearing in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. This was reported by PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Arya Sinulingga.

In his statement, Arya Sinulingga revealed that the TC agenda would be held outside Indonesia. Even so, he did not want to reveal the exact location of the TC and its schedule.

"There is an agenda (TC) to go abroad. TC is abroad and there will compete with countries close to the Middle East," said Arya Sinulingga in his statement quoted on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup will start rolling in Qatar from April 15 to May 3, 2024. Ahead of the match, Arya said that he was not sure Malaysia U-23 would be against the Indonesian U-23 national team in the TC series.

Previously, news emerged that the U-23 Indonesian national team would fight Malaysia U-23. However, Arya stated that the opponents who will be faced when TC is later are teams from the surrounding countries.

"It (against) Malaysia (U-23) doesn't seem like it. The Middle East (can be an opponent), Malaysia is not included (planned)," he said.
