Paulo Henrique Inter Persebaya Wins 1-0, Bhayangkara Still Key

SURABAYA - Paulo Henrique's single goal in the 54th minute brought Persebaya Surabaya to a 1-0 victory over Bhayangkara Presisi FC in the match week 24 of Liga 1 Indonesia 2023/2024. The match took place at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya on Sunday.

The match started with high intensity from the first minute, with both teams attacking each other. Persebaya had two chances through Duarte and Paulo Henrique, but Bhayangkara goalkeeper Aqil Savik was able to secure the net.

On the other hand, Bhayangkara FC also tried their luck through Dendy Sulistyawan and Zulfahmi, but was not able to break into Ernando Ari Sutaryadi's goal. However, arguing between the players of the two teams made the match even hotter.

Until the first half ended, the score remained 0-0. Entering the second half, Persebaya appeared more aggressive and finally managed to open the scoring in the 54th minute through Paulo Henrique's goal after receiving a pass from Bruno.

Despite being left behind, Bhayangkara FC did not give up and created several golden opportunities. However, Ernando Ari Sutaryadi who was under the Persebaya crossbar performed brilliantly with several crucial saves.

The match got hotter until both teams had to play with ten players after the referee gave a red card to Reva Adi and Sani Rizki in the 82nd minute, due to a fight in the penalty box.

Until the long whistle signaled the end of the match was blown by referee Tommi Manggopa, the score remained 1-0 for Persebaya's victory. This victory brought Persebaya up to 12th position in the standings with a total of 30 points, while Bhayangkara FC was still in the caretaker position with 15 points.

The next match, Persebaya will visit Persita Tangerang on February 23, while Bhayangkara Precision FC will host PSS Sleman on February 22.
