Determination To Win Is The Key To The Indonesian National Team's Victory Over Vietnam

The Indonesian national team won slightly against Vietnam in the second match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team beat Vietnam 1-0 in the second match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Friday, January 19, 2024.

The important victory clearly opened the hope of the Garuda Squad to qualify for the knockout phase.

"We really lacked experience, but we played with the determination to win. The players did everything they could to keep the score (excellence)," said Shin Tae-yong.

The Indonesian national team's narrow victory over Vietnam 1-0 was achieved through the captain's single goal Asnawi Mangkualam Bahar. The full-back successfully became the executor of the penalty in the 42nd minute.

Now, the Garuda Squad is looking at the final match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup against Japan on January 24, 2024. The match will determine whether the Indonesian national team can silence the winning candidate or fight again in the third best line to qualify for the knockout round.
