Daniele De Rossi Reunion And Short Contract In AS Roma

JAKARTA - AS Roma immediately got a new coach after sacking Jose Mourinho. Yes, the idol of Roma supporters and icons, Daniele De Rossi, was appointed coach with a short contract, namely until June 2024. De Rossi also reunited with former teammates.

Fans still feel sad because of Mourinho's dismissal. Even though he only gave the Europa Conference League trophy, Mourinho has boosted Roma's performance.

Kharisma, the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan coach, made fans meet Olimpico again when Roma competed at home.

During Mourinho's leadership, the stadium was always full. Fans feel proud the Giallorossi is handled by great and charismatic coaches.

When he left Trigoria, Roma's training headquarters, he was greeted by supporters at the gate. They called for Mourinho's name. "Thank you for the two years," Mourinho told fans.

De Rossi himself entered the senior team in 2001 when Roma had just won the Scudetto and remained at the same club until 2019.

He has played 616 in various competitions with I Lupi. This makes De Rossi the player who plays the most for Roma after Totti.

With his special status and as a fan idol, De Rossi's return as a coach did not cause turmoil. The transition went smoothly.

The 40-year-old coach immediately led the training in Trigoria. Apart from getting acquainted with Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku, he had a reunion with his former team-mate.

The old players such as Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bryan Cristante, Stephan El Shaarawy, and Rick Karsdorp played with De Rossi until he finally left the Olimpico.

De Rossi will take his first test when Roma play at home by hosting Verona, Sunday, January 21, 2024, early morning WIB. A perfect debut if he really had minimal experience of bringing Roma to victory at home.
