Dortmund Officially Borrows Jadon Sancho From Manchester United

JAKARTA - Borussia Dortmund officially borrowed former Jadon Sancho's player from Manchester United. Sancho said he was happy to return to the old club and hoped to 'play with a smile again'.

Sancho finally let go of the heavy burden after never playing for four months. The feud with manager Erik ten Hag made himself exiled to the club.

Sancho's harshest sentence was none other than failing to play with Manchester United. Ten Hag has confirmed as long as Sancho doesn't apologize to him for his statement on social media, he won't be played.

Sancho chose to leave to save his career. Despite the interest of a number of clubs, Sancho finally joined his former club.

Moreover, Dortmund did move fast enough to get the player. However, Dortmund borrowed Sancho for the next six months.

"Sancho returned to Germany for the time being. We hope that the England national team player who has caps 23 will achieve success in the rest of the season," said a statement from MU.

As a loan player, MU still pays Sancho's salary. However, MU only needs to spend 100 thousand pounds or 1.9 billion rupiahs every week for the player's salary. While the remaining 190 thousand pounds is paid by Dortmund.

Even though they have to give players a salary, MU still gets a reception of 3 million. However, that figure could increase to 3.4 million based on Sancho's performance and achievements in Dortmund.

Sancho said he was happy to be back at the old club. He joined Die Borussien in 2017 and then moved to Manchester United in 2022. Sancho successfully scored 50 goals during 130 appearances at Dortmund.

"When I entered the dressing room, I felt at home. I can't wait to meet my teammates. I already miss going on the pitch and returning to play with a smile on my face," said Sancho.

"I am ready to provide assists or score goals and bring the team through to the Champions League," he said.

Dortmund themselves only borrowed Sancho until the end of this season. There is no option to make Sancho permanent or increase the duration of the loan.
