Filip Hrgovic Accepts Joseph Parker's Challenge

Croatian boxer Filip Hrgovic is ready to enter the ring against former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (Instagram/@filip_hrgovic).

JAKARTA Unbeaten Croatian boxer Filip Hrgovic, accepts the challenge of former WBO heavyweight world champion from New Zealand, Joseph Parker, to get into the ring.

The fight between the two boxers is likely to take place on March 9, 2024 on the same card as the duel between former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

"I heard that Joseph Parker wanted to fight with me in March in the undercard Joshua vs Ngannou match. I'm very happy to hear that," Hrgovic was quoted as saying by Boxing Scene.

"I accept your offer, Joe. Let's fight. Come on. Let's go down. Let's start business. See you soon," he said.

Hrgovic and Parker previously won their respective duels at the Day of Renaking on December 23, 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event featured the main party Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin.

At the event, Croatian champion Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) managed to maintain his position as a mandatory challenger for the IBF by hitting knock-out (KO) Mark De Mori in the first round.

Meanwhile, Parker (34-3, 23 KO) succeeded in making Deontay Wilder surrender. The result also damaged the duel plan between Wilder and Anthony Joshua.
