Shayne Patyynama Hasn't Joined The Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong Wants Him To Focus On His Mother's Health

Shayne Patty is the name of the permit to leave the Indonesian national team TC (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - Syahne Pattynama has left the Indonesian national team training camp (TC) in Turkey since January 1, 2024. Shin Tae-yong, coach of the Garuda Squad, allowed the player to go home because he had to take care of his mother's health problems.

The 25-year-old player was absent from all the Indonesian national team test matches, including the latest match against Iran on January 9, 2024.

It is not clear when the full-back can join the Garuda Squad. Shin Tae-yong wanted Shayne Pattynama to focus on her mother's health first.

"His mother's health is not good. So, this is a very sensitive situation for him. I can't talk further," said the South Korean coach after the match against Iran.

Shayne Pattynama has not returned to the Indonesian national team when the training camp has moved to Qatar since January 7, 2024.

Shin Tae-yong doesn't really bother with this condition. He prioritizes the psychological condition of the Indonesian-Dutch blood player to be stable.

The Indonesian national team is preparing to appear in the 2023 Asian Cup on January 12-10 February 2024 in Qatar.

Since December 20, 2023, the Garuda Squad has been undergoing TC in Turkey. Now, they are undergoing final preparations in Qatar before playing their inaugural 2023 Asian Cup match on January 15, 2024 against Iraq.

Previously, the Indonesian national team had conducted three trials, twice against Libya and once against Iran. The three match matches ended in defeat.

Shin Tae-yong's team lost 0-4 and 1-2 against Libya and supported Iran with a score of 0-5.

The Indonesian national team is in Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup with Iraq, Vietnam, and Japan.
