Jordi Amat Admits The Indonesian National Team Is Ready To Undergo The Last Trial Before Appearing In The 2023 Asian Cup

Jordi Amat is ready to play the last test match of the Indonesian national team against Iran (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team has been in Qatar since January 7, 2024 to undergo the last training camp (TC) before competing in the 2023 Asian Cup.

Garuda Squad coach, Shin Tae-yong, has provided light training for the recovery of conditions and a little tactical material since the inaugural training at Al Egla 2 Field, Doha, Qatar.

During the TC in Qatar, they still have one remaining trial agenda, namely against Iran on January 9, 2024.

The Indonesian national team players seemed enthusiastic aboutbuting the match-matching party before participating in the 2023 Asian Cup.

Jordi Amat expressed that enthusiasm was born because TC was going well. The players showed positive and happy developments are getting ready for the match.

In addition, the support for facilities in Qatar also made them experience no problems in training.

"We had very good training with very fast flight. So, our condition is good and now we are here, in Doha, Qatar. The field here is very good and the facilities are also top. So, all players are very happy."

"We are also ready to undergo training in preparation for the last match (trial). I see we are ready," said Jordi Amat.

The test against Iran was the last match before the Indonesian national team competed in Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup.

Previously, the Garuda Squad had undergone two trials against Libya during TC in Turkey. Despite two defeats (0-4 and 1-2), Shin Tae-yong's team showed significant developments.

No wonder, Jordi Amat believes that the Indonesian national team will perform optimally when entering the tournament.

The Garuda squad will face Iraq in the inaugural match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup on January 15, 2024. The Indonesian national team then fought Vietnam (19/1/2024) and finally met Japan (24/1/2024).
