Chandler Calls The Contract Of The Fight Against McGregor Not Signed

JAKARTA - Conor McGregor has touted the fight against Michael Chandler during the 2024 New Year celebrations. He said the duel would take place on June 29, 2024 in Las Vegas.

However, Michael revealed that the contract for the fight against Conor McGregor had not been signed, aka it was far from over.

"We all know that it will never be 100 percent officially confirmed until we actually enter the octagon."

However, before that, (this was only official) when the UFC was about to release it. My team has been in touch with the UFC, June 29 is what I prepared," Candler told ESPN.

However, Chandler is still preparing. He can't wait to silence McGregor.

"I have 100 percent confidence that I will fight Conor McGregor on June 29, 2024."

"We'll behead this guy on June 29. Even so, it's a crazy sport. Injuries and disease can happen."

"The fight will not happen until we are both in the octagon," Chandler said.

Meanwhile, the former three-time Bellator lightweight champion doesn't care about weights. He insists he's ready to fight in any class, as long as he's not in the lightweight class weighing 155 pounds.

So far, Chandler has challenged the fight against McGregor to the middleweight weighing 185 pounds.

"It doesn't matter (with weight). I don't care if he wants to compete at 185 pounds, 170 pounds (welter), 205 pounds (light weight), whatever it is."

"You have to remember, he doesn't want to fight at 155 points. In his mind, he can't fight at 170 pounds. Therefore, I didn't do what he ordered. He did what I said."

"So, he has to say 185 points. I can change my weight. I don't need to put my weight up to 185 pounds. It will be easy and fun," Chandler said.

McGregor has never set foot again in the octagon since his left leg broke in a trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier on.

Meanwhile Chandler have not fought again since being defeated in the third round in the UFC 281 fight against Poirier in November 2022.
