Conceding In The First Minute, Juventus Gol Party Eliminates Salernitana In Coppa Italia

JAKARTA - Juventus conceded in the first minute before rising to get rid of Salernitana in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia. In a duel at Allianz Stadium, Friday, January 5 in the morning WIB, Juve even had a 6-1 goal party so that they managed to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Juve met the basic occupants of the Italian Serie A standings Salernitana twice in a row. After acting as the host in the Coppa Italia, Juve then visited Salernitana's headquarters. The two teams will duel in the domestic competition, Sunday, January 8 in the morning WIB.

In a duel in Coppa Italia, coach Massimiliano Allegri reshuffled Juve's starting line up by fielding some of the reserve players.

Including the first goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny who was replaced by Matia Perin. Dusan Vlahovic striker also sits on the bench. In front, Allegri relies on the duet of Federico Chiesa and Arkadiusz Milik.

But Salernitana's threatened lead to Serie B next season did not last long. In the 12th minute, the Bianconeri were able to equalize when midfielder Fabio Miretti welcomed Andrea Cambiaso's assist.

Furthermore, it was Cambiaso's turn to turn things around after scoring a goal in the 35th minute. He maximized the bait given by Danilo.

The score becomes 2-1 for La Vecchia laca and lasts until the first half is over.

Entering the second half, Juve did not lower the tempo of the game. Allegri troops continued to play aggressively and put pressure on Salernitana's defense.

As a result, Juve solidified their lead through defender Daniele Rugani who broke into the opponent's goal in the 54th minute. Juve leading 3-1 and almost certainly stepped into the quarter-finals.

However, the zebra team did not slack off their attack. The pressure of Juve's players made Salernitana's goal concede again. This time, defender Dylan Bronn scored an own goal in the 75th minute.

Juve are still not satisfied with bombarding the visitors' goal. Furthermore, young striker Kenan Yildiz solidified JUve's victory in the 88th minute.

This became the second goal for the 18-year-old for Juve. Previously, the German-born but opting for the Turkish national team scored when Juve won 2-1 over Frosinone in the league.

The forward Timothy Weah who came in to replace Samuel Iling-Junior closed the Juve victory party. He scored goals after receiving assists from Manuel Locatelli in injury time.

The score changed to 6-1 and lasted until the end of the match. Juve qualified for the quarter-finals to meet Frosinone who surprisingly beat Napoli 4-0 in the last 16.
