JAKARTA Indonesia's young racer, Veda Ega Pratama, received a promotion to fight in the important Red Bull MotoGP Rookie Cup 2024.

Veda moved up to this event after being selected by Dorna Sport with Thai racer, Jakkreephat Phuettisan. Both names previously competed in the Asia Talent Cup (ATC) championship.

Veda got this golden opportunity after coming out to become a champion at ATC this season. Now the road to MotoGP is getting more open.

"Last season, Pratama made a significant impact in its first year at ATC. Despite being injured, he managed to win a number of races to end the season with good momentum," ATC said in a statement on their website.

"After starting 2023 as a favorite, this momentum continues to grow by winning nine wins from 12 wins he may have won this season," ATC continued in a statement.

MotoGP Rookie Cup is a racing event for young newcomer talents who have never previously appeared at the Grand Prix level. This race has started since 2007.

Next season the MotoGP Rookie Cup will take place in seven series. The seven series are Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Assen, Spielberg, Aragon, and Misano.
