Ancelotti Believes There Is No Risk Of Playing Jude Bellingham

JAKARTA - Real Madrid came down with complete strength, including Jude Belingham, in a 3-2 win over Union Berlin in the last match of the Champions League. Coach Carlo Ancelotti made sure there was no risk playing Bellingham despite just recovering from injury in the Group G match at Olympia Stadium, Wednesday, December 13 in the morning WIB.

Ancelotti's move was questioned because he continued to lower the best squad despite qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League. Moreover, he also fielded Bellingham, who had just recovered from shoulder and ankle injuries.

Previously, Ancelotti stated that Bellingham suffered a shoulder dislocation injury in early November. However, he was fit and still impressed by providing assists to Dani Ceballos who determined the 3-2 victory.

Only, he was then shown a yellow card because he had a fight with Union midfielder Rani Khedira. As a result, Bellingham missed the first match of the Champions League knockout.

"The yellow card is not right. There is no physical touch [with Bellingham]," said Ancelotti, who looks disappointed with the England international's yellow card.

"Even so, he helped us a lot," he said again.

Ancelotti said the match against Union was unique and the team had difficulty winning. He did not hesitate to praise Joselu for scoring a brace in that match.

"It was a strange game. We were able to control the game for 40 minutes. But in just the last two minutes, they made it difficult for us," said Ancelotti.

After Luka Modric failed to complete the penalty, Union immediately got up and took the lead through Kevin Volland. Union's goal came moments before the first half ended.

"We tried to play more effectively in the second half by maximizing the cross balls," he said.

We have players like Joselu who are good at taking the cross. If we have players like that, of course we have to be able to maximize it," he said.

Victory over Union made Madrid set a perfect record during the group stage. They won all the matches so they won Group G.
