Defeating Udinese, Inter Milan Doesn't Take Long To Move Juventus

JAKARTA - Inter Milan did not take long to replace Juventus. Inter reclaimed the top position of the Italian Serie A standings after beating Udinese 4-0 in a duel at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Sunday, December 10 in the morning WIB.

Inter showed their best form at home to Udinese. In that match, Inter actually lost a line-up behind Denzel Dumfries, Stefan de Vrij and Benjamin Pavard.

The situation forced coach Simone Inzaghi to overhaul the defense sector initiated by Francesco Acerbi. The results were not in vain.

The Nerazzurri's defense remained solid in that match. Goalkeeper Yann Sommer proved his feasibility while standing under the bar by maintaining a clean sheet.

Inter seem to have no loss with the departure of goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is now the target player against Manchester United. Sommer who was brought in from Bayern Munich was able to become the mainstay goalkeeper.

Udinese actually tried to get up and catch up. Their efforts paid off when Lorenzo Lucca broke into Sommer's goal. But the goal was disallowed because he was in an offside position.

Inter, on the other hand, instead managed to add goals. This time, Martinez, who was on routine duty to find the opponent's goal, confirmed him as the Capocannoniere aka Serie A's top score.

Martinez scored his 13th goal this season when the game was over. The score changed to 4-0 and Inter won the game to take the top spot.

The victory made Inter pocketed point 38. Two points ahead of Juve who were forced to go down to second place. Meanwhile, AC Milan is in third place with 29 points.

Udinese deserves to be wary of failing to improve his position. They are stuck in position 16 with 12 points 12. Udinese is only one point ahead of the team in the relegation zone.
