Crystal Palace Vs Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp Frustration With Premier League Schedule

JAKARTA - The victory over Sheffield United did not make Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp breathe a sigh of relief. Because of this, the Red already had to play an away match against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon or the local time launch or December 9, 2023 at 19.30 WIB.

The Premier League will soon enter the festival week aka the festive period, which is a match with a very busy schedule. When the other leagues have Christmas and New Year holidays, on the other hand, the English Premier League will hold matches with close schedules.

However, the players have less than 72 hours because they will return to competing at home against Palace. Another exit, Liverpool got a schedule during the day because the match was held at lunch time.

"After the match, we went to bed at 01.00 or 02.00 in the morning. Then we only had two training times."

"We then played again," said Klopp, who admitted that he never understood why there was a match schedule during the day, the only league that planned a day's game.

"I really don't understand that (the need for matches earlier or during the day). So why should I explain it again," said Klopp.

Meanwhile, Van Dijk said he had expected the team to work extra hard to win the match. The reason is, Liverpool are facing a team that has changed managers.

Now, Villa are in third place with 32 points. They are two points ahead of Man City.

The match against Palace is no less crucial for Liverpool to keep their points apart from Arsenal.

Only, Klopp lost his player Alexis Mac Allister again, who suffered a knee injury against Sheff United.

"I don't know how long he will recover. However, the match against Palace seems too soon for him," Klopp said in response to Ceder McAllister.

Meanwhile, defender Joel Matip has ended the competition faster. Matip suffered a knee ligament injury which forced him to rest for several months.

In fact, he is predicted to only be able to play when the new season competition rolls back.
