AC Milan wins to maintain competition with Juventus and Inter Milan

JAKARTA - AC Milan achieved an important victory in the Italian Serie A match. The success of beating Frosinone 3-1 in the match at the San Siro Stadium, Sunday, December 3 early morning of Western Indonesian Time (WIB), meant that Milan maintained competition with Juventus and Inter Milan.

Milan returns to winning ways. After never winning in four matches, Milan managed to break this bad trend by beating Fiorentina 1-0.

Furthermore, the Rossoneri showed consistency by overcoming Frosinone's resistance. The victory at least kept Milan within points of its two competitors.

Responding to Milan's victory, coach Stefano Pioli showed his satisfaction. How could it not be, Milan returned to winning ways after never doing so before overcoming Fiorentina and then Frosinone.

"We have never won in the previous two matches in the league," said Pioli.

"We have to be able to maintain it. This is not an easy match. I think the team's performance is very good," he said.

Now, Milan, who is in third place, has 29 points and is four points behind Juve, who leads the standings.

Followed by second place Inter who has 32 points. Inter has the opportunity to regain the top position if they beat Napoli, Monday, December 4, WIB.

Meanwhile, Frosinone is still in the middle of the table in 11th place. They have 18 points. The same as Monza but Frosinone is behind on goal difference.

In that match, striker Luka Jovic, who never showed his best performance, was finally able to break the deadlock. He scored the goal that opened the Rossoneri's victory.

Jovic's goal via a volley in the penalty box came in the 43rd minute. This was Jovic's first goal in nine matches since joining from Fiorentina. The 1-0 score for Milan lasted until the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Milan continued to appear consistent in attacking the Frosinone defense. As a result, after only five minutes of the match, Milan managed to increase their lead.

This time, Christian Pulisic was the one who found the back of the opponent's goal after receiving a long pass from goalkeeper Mike Maignan. From that pass, he fired a kick into the corner of the goal which the opposing goalkeeper, Stefano Turati, could not reach.

Milan established a 3-0 lead in the 74th minute. This time, Jovic made an assist which was completed well by Fikayo Tomori. Turati couldn't save his header.

Frosinone could only reduce the defeat by scoring one goal from midfielder Marco Brescianini. The goal was created in the 82nd minute which changed the score to 3-1. That score lasted until the end of the match.
